Zachary “Zach” Hamed is a design-focused engineer who enjoys designing, building, and selling software. He is currently co-founder and co-CEO of Mesh, formerly Clay, a private home for personal and professional relationships.

Mesh manages hundreds of millions of relationships for people across industries. The company raised $8 million from investors including Forerunner Ventures and General Catalyst, won both the Webby Award and People’s Voice Award for Best Work & Productivity App, and appeared in Apple’s 2024 WWDC keynote. In 2025, Mesh was acquired by Automattic.

Before Mesh, Zach helped build the product team for Goldman Sachs’ Marquee platform and co-founded the enterprise developer-tools startup Bowery. He studied computer science at Harvard and was selected as a 2013 Thiel Fellow.
